Who is Lapaco?
Lachine Paper Company was founded in 1950 by a young tool designer, René Derail, who enjoyed the challenge of building machinery that could generate high quality products. While his first equipment was designed to create butterchips, he quickly saw the need to build machinery that delivered premium quality disposable products, specifically, placemats, traycovers and doilies. When René began his company, it was based in the town of Lachine, but in 1970 as his business grew, he invested in land in Ville Saint-Catherine and built, what is now, our corporate headquarters. With the change in town came the change in name and Lachine Paper Company became Lapaco Paper Products Ltd.
In 2015, Lapaco joined the Hoffmaster Group and keep carrying on the tradition of producing the highest quality disposable tabletop, bakery and other related items that made its reputation and built its branding from coast to coast.
